What I often hear from artists is that they just want to work on their craft.  Having to learn how to build and manage a website and how to use social media can be too time consuming, too exhausting and too frustrating when all you want to do is create.  What I hear from a lot of small business owners and non-profits is that they also feel that it’s too overwhelming to have to learn about how to create and manage a web presence or how to build communities around their services or products online.  The other problem is that a lot of other web development companies either charge thousands of dollars for their services or they’re not dependable, the final product is broken or they don’t know how to properly translate “geek-speak” so that clients understand what they’re getting.

I created this business because my belief is that you don’t necessarily need a custom-built website or a full-time online publicist to achieve your goals.  Silly Robot will aim to provide quality advice and service without asking for exorbitant fees that you can’t afford.  I have also forged partnerships with very talented individuals to provide additional services in publicity, graphic design and web development as needed.  I’m the most dependable person I know and I only hire people that I’ve worked with or who have a proven track record.  As someone who has been in this industry for over a decade, I know how hard it is to find the right person to work for you and with you.  I never settle for second best because I don’t like to provide second-rate services.  I have built Silly Robot to be the kind of company that I’d want to trust and work with as a client.

Why did I call it “Silly Robot”?  Simply, I love robots.  :)

A special shout-out goes to Robert Elsmore for creating and designing the original robot character!
