Advertise on my head!
It started with a dare. When he heard that I was contemplating getting a hair tattoo, a friend of mine, the mobile genius Jeff Bacon, dared me to get a cheesy image of his choosing shaved on my head. He even offered to pay for it! And while I was contemplating the offer, and getting a good laugh out of it, I realized that I could go even further with this idea.
Instead of taking Jeff up on his offer, I’m going to do something completely crazy.
I am offering up my head for advertising space in exchange for funding for local athlete, Isabelle Després!
It’s simple – Isabelle needs our help to be able to compete at a couple of international weightlifting competitions this year. Funding for athletes is very hard to come by these days. She has a chance to compete in Guatemala and in Germany this year and may get a spot on Canada’s Olympic team for this year’s Olympic Games in London.
So here’s what I’m offering up:
Your logo, company name and/or URL shaved into my head as a “hair tattoo”.
You can purchase a spot on my head for the following price:
LEFT-SIDE: $2000
RIGHT-SIDE: $2000
BACK OF HEAD: $3000
Also, your company name, logo and URL will be featured on Isabelle’s website, on this website, on Facebook, Twitter and Google+ and in the media because I’m planning to generate as much publicity as possible for this crazy venture.
What’s in it for you? A whole lot of PUBLICITY! I walk everywhere, I take the bus, I am planning several trips across Ontario (all by bus). I’ll be a woman with a shaved head sporting a company logo – it’s such an odd sight that people WILL notice! Plus the blog and media write-ups, interviews, social media awareness, support from the athletic community and much more. We’re creating a FIRST in athletic sponsorship in Canada.
Sponsorship must happen by MAY 1ST, 2012!
I will get my head shaved during the first week of May.
